قصة أصحاب الفيل من أشهر القصص والتي ذكرت في القرآن الكريم المصحف كتاب الله، وخاصة عندما كنا نقرأ أو نحفظ سورة الفيل وهي السورة التي تروي هذه القصة العظيمة.

ولكن تبقى هناك تفاصيل كثيرة لم نعرفها بعد عن هذه القصة العيمة، مثلاً من هم أصحاب الفيل؟ وما هو تاريخ قصتهم؟ وما السبب الذي دفعهم للرغبة في هدم الكعبة؟

وما كان عقاب الله لهم؟ وكيف استطاع الفيل الذي لا يعقل أن يمتثل لأمر الله ولا يقوم بهدم الكعبة؟ وما هي العبر التي نأخذها من هذه القصة؟

قبل أصحاب الفيل

قصة أصحاب الفيل هي من القصص الخالدة والتي فيها الكثير من العبر والدروس، وتنقسم هذه القصة إلى عدة فصول وأجزاء، بدءاً من قصة أبرهة الحبشي وحكايته مع الملك النجاشي، مروراً إلى جيشه الضخم لهدم الكعبة، حتى بيان قدرة الله تعالى في هزيمة هذا الجيش وحماية بيته.

في قديم الزمان في شبه الجزيرة العربية قبل ميلاد النبي محمد صلى الله عليه وسلم بأربعين سنة، كان هناك حاكم لليمن يسمى ” ذو نواس “، قام باضطهاد نصارى نجران وحرقهم، ولكن نجا منهم شخص يسمى “دوس”، فاستنجد دوس بحاكم الشام وفلسطين وهو قيصر الروم.

حيث بعث قيصر الروم النصراني هذا الرجل دوس إلى حاكم الحبشة ” النجاشي ” للانتقام من ” ذو نواس ” لقتل النصارى وحرقهم.

وعندما علم ” النجاشي ” بالقصة، جهز جيشاً بقيادة ” أبرهة الحبشي” و ” أرياط ” للذهاب لليمن للانتقام، وبعد انتشار جيش النجاشي أصبح ” أرياط ” حاكم اليمن.

أبرهة حاكم اليمن

وبعدها تمرد أبرهة على أريط واستولى على حكم اليمن منه، وعندما علم النجاشي غضب وقرر معاقبته، ولكن أبرهة أستسلم وأعلن ولائه إلى النجاشي فبقي أبرهة حاكم لليمن.

وحتى ينال أبرهة إعجاب النجاشي بنى كنيسة ضخمة لا مثيل لها تسمى (القليس)، ليحج أهل الجزيرة إليها بدلاً من الكعبة، ودعي أهل الجزيرة العربية ليحجوا في الكنيسة.

ومع رفض أهل الجزيرة العرب طلبه، ويقال أن بعض العرب ذهبوا للكنيسة ولوثوها، وهنا غضب أبرهة كثيراً، وقرر أن يجهز جيشاً كبيراً، ويذهب للكعبة ويهدمها.

أبرهة إلى مكة

قام أبرهة الحبشي أو كما يسمى أبرهة الأشرم بتجهيز جيش ضخم  حتى أنه كان من بعيد يُرى كأنه سحابة سوداء، وكان في الجيش فيل ضخم لاستخدامه في هدم الكعبة، وكان أبرهة يمتطيه في مقدمة الجيش.

وفي طريق سيره إلى مكة، قابلة الكثير من الحكام العرب إلى محاربته، ولكنه هزمهم جميعاً، وعندما اقترب الجيش من مكة بعث أبرهة بعض الجنود لنهب أموال مكة.

ثم بعث رسولاً إلى سيد مكة يخبره أنهم لم يأتوا للقتال ولا سفك الدماء، بل يريدون هدم الكعبة والانصراف، وكان وقتها سيد مكة هو عبد المطلب جد النبي محمد صلى الله عليه وسلم.

فقال له عبد المطلب نحن لن نحاربكم، والبيت له رب يحميه، وعندما بدأ أبرهة في المسير نحو مكة الكعبة لهدمها رفض الفيل أن يتحرك ويتجه للأمام نهائياً امتثالاً لأمر الله، حتى مع جميع محاولاتهم لإيذائه وإجباره على السير.

طير أبابيل

أثناء محاولات أبرهة والجيش إلى تحريك الفيل وسط ذهول أهل مكة، إذ فجأة فوجئ أبرهة وجيشة بجيوش من الطيور كأنها خطاطيف قادمة من جهة البحر، وكل طير يحمل 3 أحجار من النار، واحد في منقاره، واثنان في أرجله.

وبدأت الطيور في إلقاء الحجارة على الجيش، وقيل بأن الحجر كان إذا سقط على شخص اخترقه وخرج من الناحية الأخرى، وهكذا هلك الكثير من الجنود، وفر البقية، أما أبرهة فقد أصيب بهذه الأحجار، ومات وهو متجه إلى اليمن صنعاء.

هلاك جيش أبرهة

وكان هذا الجيش من الطيور هو جيش من الله سخره الله تعالى إلى حماية بيته المقدس الكعبة والقضاء على من أراد هدم هذا البيت.

وسمي هذا العام بعام الفيل، وهذا هو العام الذي ولد فيه النبي محمد صلى الله عليه وسلم, وتعتبر قصة أصحاب الفيل دليل ملموس على قدرة الله سبحانه وتعالى، وعلى حمايته لبيته المقدس الكعبة وحرماته التي حرمها الله تعالى.

وأيضاً دليل على أن كيد الكافرين مهما عظم فإنه لا يطول وسوف يقضي الله عليه بقدرته وعظمته، وهذه القصة توضح كيف أن جميع مخلوقات الله تمتثل لأوامره عز وجل حتى الحيوانات والطيور التي لا تعقل, وهو دليل على أن الله هو السيد الأعظم لهذا الكون.

But there are many details that we do not yet know about this dark story, for example, who are the owners of the elephant? What is the history of their story? What is the reason that prompted them to want to demolish the Kaaba?

What was God's punishment for them? And how was the unreasonable elephant able to comply with the command of God and not demolish the Kaaba? What are the lessons we take from this story?

Before the owners of the elephant

The story of the owners of the elephant is one of the timeless stories in which there are many lessons and lessons, and this story is divided into several chapters and parts, starting with the story of Abraha the Abyssinian and his story with the Negus king, passing through his huge army to demolish the Kaaba, until the statement of God Almighty's ability to defeat this army and protect his home .

In the ancient times in the Arabian Peninsula, forty years before the birth of the Prophet Muhammad, may God bless him and grant him peace, there was a ruler of Yemen called “Dhul Nawas”, who persecuted the Christians of Najran and burned them, but a person called “Dos” survived them, so Dos sought help from the ruler of Levant and Palestine, who is Caesar rum.

Where the Christian Roman Caesar sent this man Dos to the ruler of Abyssinia “the Negus” to take revenge on “Dhu Nawas” for killing the Christians and burning them.

When the “Negus” learned of the story, he prepared an army led by “Abraha al-Habashi” and “Aryat” to go to Yemen to take revenge, and after the Negus army spread, he became “Ariat” the ruler of Yemen.

After that, Abraha rebelled against Aret and took over the rule of Yemen from him, and when he learned of the Negus, he became angry and decided to punish him, but Abraha surrendered and declared his allegiance to the Negus, so Abraha remained the ruler of Yemen.

In order for Abraha to gain the admiration of the Negus, he built a huge and unparalleled church called (Al-Qalis), for the people of the island to pilgrimage to it instead of the Kaaba, and he invited the people of the Arabian Peninsula to perform pilgrimage in the church.

With the people of the Arabian Peninsula rejecting his request, and it is said that some Arabs went to the church and polluted it, and here Abraha got angry a lot, and decided to prepare a large army, go to the Kaaba and destroy it.

Abraha to Mecca

Abraha the Abyssinian, or as it is called Abraha al-Ashram, prepared a huge army so that it was seen from afar as a black cloud, and there was a huge elephant in the army to use in the demolition of the Kaaba, and Abraha was riding it at the front of the army.

On his way to Mecca, he met many Arab rulers to fight him, but he defeated them all, and when the army approached Mecca, Abraha sent some soldiers to loot Mecca's money.

Then he sent a messenger to the master of Mecca telling him that they did not come to fight or shed blood, but rather they wanted to destroy the Kaaba and leave, and at that time the master of Mecca was Abd al-Muttalib, the grandfather of the Prophet Muhammad, may God bless him and grant him peace.

Abdul Muttalib said to him: We will not fight you, and the house has a Lord who protects it, and when Abraha began to march towards Mecca, the Kaaba to demolish it, the elephant refused to move and head forward completely in compliance with the command of God, even with all their attempts to harm him and force him to walk.

During the attempts of Abraha and the army to move the elephant amid the astonishment of the people of Mecca, suddenly Abraha and his army were surprised by armies of birds as if they were hooks coming from the sea, and each bird carried 3 stones of fire, one in its beak, and two in its legs.

The birds began throwing stones at the army, and it was said that if the stone fell on a person, it would break through and exit from the other side. Thus, many soldiers perished, and the rest fled. As for Abraha, he was hit by these stones, and he died on his way to Yemen, Sana’a.

The destruction of the Abraha army

And this army of birds was an army of God that God Almighty subjugated to protect His holy house, the Kaaba, and to eliminate those who wanted to demolish this house.

This year was called the Year of the Elephant, and this is the year in which the Prophet Muhammad, may God bless him and grant him peace, was born.

It is also evidence that the plot of the unbelievers, no matter how great they are, will not last long, and God will destroy them with His power and greatness.
