For 40 years of his life, he was responsible for closing the pulpit of the Prophet in the Prophet’s Mosque in Medina, and yesterday the death of Agha Habib Muhammad al-Afri, the servant of the honorable Prophet’s Chamber, was announced.

Yesterday, Wednesday, the General Presidency Agency in Saudi Arabia for the affairs of the Prophet’s Mosque announced the death of Agha Habib Muhammad al-Afri, one of the oldest pilgrims of the Prophet’s Mosque, who devoted his life to serving the Prophet’s Mosque for nearly 40 years.

The agency mourned the affairs of the Prophet’s Mosque, Al-Afri, through its account on Twitter, via short tweets, saying: “Go to the mercy of God Almighty, Agha Habib Muhammad Al-Afri, one of the oldest seductions of the Noble Prophet’s Mosque, whom God designated for the service of the Prophet’s Mosque in a period of time.”

According to Saudi media, the funeral prayer was held for Agha Habib Muhammad Al-Afri, one of the last of the three Agha and the servant of the Prophet’s room, in the Prophet’s Mosque after the Maghrib prayer, yesterday, Wednesday, provided that the burial will be in the Al-Baqi’ Al-Gharqad area, amid a state of sadness that dominated social networking sites.

It is worth noting that the agha is an old position, but it does not exist today, as it refers to a man who dedicates himself and his age to serve the Prophet’s Chamber and the Noble Prophet’s Mosque.

The job of the Agha also includes carrying the keys of the room and receiving guests from the chiefs and others, and he is one of those who were obligated to the Prophet’s Mosque.
