قامت مجلة نيوزويك الأمريكية بنشر في عددها يوم 1 نوفمبر من عام 2021 المقال التالي: عندما أجتاح وباء كورونا، احتاجت أمريكا والعالم من ورائها إلى شخص تلجأ إليه للحصول على المشورة.
وهنا إتجهت وسائل الإعلام والجمهور بشكل
طبيعي إلى الدكتور أنتوني فاوتشي مدير المعهد الوطني للحساسية والأمراض المعدية، وعالم
المناعة المختبري المرموق وأحد مستشاري فيروس كورونا الذين اختارهم الرئيس دونالد ترامب.
منصب أنتوني فاوتشي
حيث يشغل الدكتور أنتوني فاوتشي منصب مدير المعهد الوطني
للحساسية والأمراض المعدية منذ عام 1984، وقد تعامل مع كل الرؤساء الأمريكيين منذ عهد
الرئيس رونالد ريغان حتي الآن, (رونالد ريغان ، جورج بوش الأب، بيل كلينتون، جورج بوش
الأبن، باراك أوباما، دونالد ترامب، والرئيس جو بايدن الحالي).
وفي عام 2008 تقلد الدكتور أنتوني فاوتشي
أعلي وسام أمريكي (الوسام الرئاسي للحرية) من الرئيس جورج بوش الأبن، من دورة في معالجة
وباء نقص المناعة (الأيدز).
ولكن مع سوء الحظ ، أخطأ الدكتور أنتوني
فاوتشي في الإجابة عن التساؤلات حول مرض فيروس كورونا والصحة العامة, وقد أثبت الواقع
والدراسات العلمية خطأ المعلومات التي أدلي بها وأنساقت الولايات المتحدة
الأمريكية والعالم بأكمله.

430 قبل الميلاد علي الأقل عندما أنتشر مرض الطاعون في أثينا, ويعرف ذلك الطيارون وسائقو
الشاحنات وعمال الشحن والتفريغ، والممرضات أكثر من أي شخص آخر.
ووفق ما نصح به أنتوني فاوتشي في ضرورة
إجبار المواطنين علي تلقي اللقاح، تقوم المستشفيات الأمريكية الآن في فصل الممرضات

الأكبر سناً والأضعف بأمان من مخاطر انتقال العدوي بشكل أفضل من الذين تم تطعيمهم ولم
يصابوا بالمرض.
حماية كبار السن
ولكن في المقابل يمكن أن يصاب أي شخص بالعدوى،
هناك فرق أكثر من ألف ضعف في مخاطر الوفيات بين كبار السن والشباب.

الدكتور أنتوني فاوتشي شهادته أمام لجنة الصحة حول حالة فيروس كورونا، يوم 20 يوليو
2021 في مبنى الكونغرس العاصمة الأمريكية واشنطن
وتضاعفت حالات الإصابة مع فيروس كورونا
ثلاث مرات خلال الأسابيع الثلاثة الأخيرة من شهر أكتوبر 2021، وتزايدت حالات دخول المستشفى
والوفيات بين الأشخاص غير المطعمين.
إغلاق المدارس
والجامعات
وكانت المدارس هي نقاط انتقال رئيسية للإنفلونزا،
ولكن ليس فيروس كورونا, وبينما يصاب الأطفال بالعدوى، فإن خطر تعرضهم لوفاة بسبب
الفيروس ضئيل للغاية، وهو أقل من خطر الوفاة المنخفض بالفعل بسبب الفيروس.
