During the sessions of the United Nations General Assembly currently in New York, world leaders addressed the Taliban movement's request to represent Afghanistan internationally after taking control of the country on the ground.

Where the US Secretary of State commented with the major countries on the issue of granting the Taliban international legitimacy.

And while the movement gave external reassurances, its leadership is still subject to internal pressures that threaten to cause divisions between the wings of the Taliban.

Statement by the Minister of America

On Thursday, US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken said he believed the world was united in putting pressure on the Taliban, after he held talks with officials from Pakistan, China and Russia.

During the session, the discussion was raised in public during the United Nations General Assembly held in New York until next Monday, when the "Taliban" movement requested to speak on behalf of Afghanistan.

The question here is, should the Taliban be integrated into major international organizations to force it to develop? Or should, on the contrary, negotiate a gradual mechanism to normalize relations with it and remove financial obstacles in return for it taking radical political steps?

This question has been asked since August 15, but it has taken on greater dimensions this week, as the international community asks about whether the Taliban regime in Afghanistan should be recognized? First.

Pakistan call

On the other hand, Pakistan called on the world to take a more realistic approach with Afghanistan, as the Foreign Minister said that his country proposes setting a road map for the international community to diplomatically recognize the Taliban.

London announced that British Prime Minister Boris Johnson and US President Joe Biden agreed last Wednesday, after their talks in Washington, that international recognition with the Taliban should be coordinated and that it should be conditional.

And there is a committee studying the adoption of Taliban membership as the representative of Afghanistan in the United Nations.

Which will meet in November, which means that the representative of the movement will not make a speech during the meetings of the General Assembly.
