تم تلقي خبر حزين عبر الساحة الرياضية الخليجية والبحرينية وهي صدمة في وفاة أحمد يوسف سالمين أحد أساطير كرة القدم في مملكة البحرين وصاحب أول هدف في بطولة كأس الخليج والذي سطر الكثير من الإنجازات لاعباً ومدرباً وسادت الرياضة البحرينية جو السواد حزناً على رحيله.

البحرين تودع صاحب أول هدف

هو لاعب بحريني حيث توفي أحمد سالمين لاعب منتخب البحرين السابق ومدرب فريق المحرق السابق ووالد اللاعب الدولي محمد سالمين وهو صاحب أول هدف في بطولة كأس الخليج حتى يخيم الحزن على الساحة الرياضية البحرينية خصوصاً وأنه يتمتع بشعبية جارفة بين الجماهير.

ويعتبره أهل البحرين من أبرز أساطير كرة القدم البحرينية السابقين الذين برزوا في صفوف المنتخبات الوطنية ونادي المحرق ومثل منتخب البحرين في العديد من المحافل واستطاع أن يحقق جميع البطولات المحلية مع نادي المحرق.

حيث سجل أحمد بن سالمين أول هدف في بطولة كأس الخليج عندما أقيمت البطولة الأولى "خليجي 1" في البحرين عام 1970 حيث سجل هدف بلاده الأول في مرمى قطر في اللقاء الذي انتهى لصالح المنتخب البحريني 2-1.
