توفي المهندس الهولندي لو أوتينس، صاحب إختراع شرائط الكاسيت عن عمر ناهز 94 عاما. يذكر أن شريط الكاسيت ظهر لأول مرة عام 1964 وتم بيع أكثر من 100 مليار شريط حول العالم.

إلى معيار صناعي للأقراص المدمجة الاستهلاكية.
حيث أُعلنت أمس وفاة المهندس الهولندي لو
أوتينس 94عام الذي توفي قبل أيام، وإليه يُنسب الفضل في إختراع شريط الكاسيت الصوتي
في الستينيات. حيث تم بيع المليارات من هذه الأشرطة حول العالم، ويعتبرها
البعض جزءاً أساسياً من ذكريات الطفولة.
البداية
بدأ أوتينس العمل في شركة فيليبس للتصنيع
الإلكتروني في عام 1952، ولكن لمع نجمه في الستينيات عندما كان رئيسا في تطوير المنتجات
في فرع هاسيلت البلجيكي إلى شركة فيليبس في أيندهوفن. وكان هناك حيث إبتكر شريط الكاسيت
الصوتي، والذي تم إطلاقه رسميا في عام 1963 في معرض برلين للراديو للإلكترونيات.
وهو أكبر إنجاز له في الستينيات من القرن
الماضي مع إختراع مسجلات شرائط أكثر إحكاما من استخدام شريط كاسيت الصوت. ونقلت صحيفة عن مقابلة سابقة أجروها مع أوتينس: "تم إختراع شريط الكاسيت
مع دافع الإنزعاج من جهاز التسجيل الحالي، إنه بهذه البساطة".
أوتينس والكاسيت
تقاعد أوتينس في عام 1986، بعد أن غيّر
بشكل دائم الطريقة التي يستمع بها العالم إلى الموسيقى. ومع ذلك، في مقابلة مع المنتج
الإعلامي الهولندي إن آر سي، قال أوتينس إنه لا يفخر في عمله، قائلا إن الكاسيت والقرص
المضغوط صنعهما فريق وليس هو فقط.
وعلى الرغم من تطور التكنولوجيا وشبه إنقراض
الشرائط إلا إن الكثيرين لا يزالون يتذكرون هذا الإختراع الذي نال شهرة واسعة حول العالم.

the beginning
Otense began working at Philips in the electronics manufacturing company in 1952, but his star shone in the 1960s when he was head of product development at the Belgian branch of Hasselt to Philips in Eindhoven. And it was there that he invented the audio cassette tape, which was officially launched in 1963 at the Berlin Radio Electronics Show.
It was his biggest achievement in the 1960s with the invention of tape recorders that were more compact than using audio cassette tape. "The cassette tape was invented with the annoyance of the current tape recorder. It's that simple," a newspaper quoted a previous interview with Utens.
Utens and Cassette
Utens retired in 1986, after permanently changing the way the world listens to music. However, in an interview with Dutch media producer NRC, Utens said he does not take pride in his work, saying that the cassette and CD were made by a team and not just him.
Despite the advancements in technology and the near-extinction of tape, many people still remember this invention, which won wide fame around the world.
