أن ترامب تمكن من حرق عهده وفترة رئاسته بينما كان يحاول إحراق الجميع وكل شيء من حوله.

في يناير من عام 1838 ألقى الرئيس أبراهام
لينكولن الذي كان عضواً بالمجلس التشريعي في ولاية إلينوي قبل بلوغه 29 من العمر، الخطاب
الأكثر نبوءة في حياته السياسية، ويقول الكاتب بريت ستيفنز في صحيفة "نيويورك
تايمز" الأمريكية إن ذلك الخطاب حان وقته مرة أخرى عام 2021.
يتساءل ستيفنز لماذا قد يكون خطاب أبراهام
لينكولن "تخليد مؤسساتنا السياسية" مهماً الآن؟ ويقول إن الجواب الواضح هو
العبودية، وصعود ما وصفه لينكولن بـ"الروح الموبوقراطية"، وأنواع القادة
الذين يحرضون عليها.
وتطرق إلى حادث فيكسبيرغ حيث إقتحم حشد
من الأشخاص عام 1835 أحياء في المدينة، وأعتقلوا خمسة مقامرين، وأعدموهم شنقاً، وفي
سانت لويس في ولاية ميسوري، في العام التالي، قبض عدد من الحراس على رجل أسود حر يدعى
فرانسيس ماكينتوش وقيدوه بالسلاسل ثم أحرقوه بالنار حتى الموت.
بحسب الرئيس لينكولن، كان الدافع من وراء
حادث فيكسبيرغ هو "الفضيلة العامة"، أما الدافع وراء عصابة سانت لويس فكان
الإنتقام، مستنتجاً أن العرق السامي إلى التطهير الأخلاقي وأعمال العنف الدامية، وجهان
لعملة واحدة وآثارهما.
المستقبل والتنبؤ
ينطلق ستيفنز من خطاب لينكولن ليتناول
أحداث إقتحام الكابيتول مبنى الكونغرس في السادس من شهر يناير الحالي، ويقول إن الرئيس
الأميركي المنتهية ولايته دونالد ترامب تمكن من إحراق ولايته الرئاسية بينما كان يحاول
إشعال النيران في كل شيء آخر.
ويستطرد أن الثلاثة يشبهون بشكل ضبابي ما
كان يخشاه لينكولن حين تحدث عن رجال يشبهون "قيصر" أو "نابليون"
سيهدمون المؤسسات الجمهورية بدلاً من الدفاع بغية إشباع النفس نحو التعطش والمجد.
وقال الكاتب إن الرئيس الذي أنتخب نفسه
من خلال إستدعاء حشد رقمي عبر "تويتر" و"فيسبوك" إنتهى به الأمر
محاولاً عكس نتائج إنتخابات الثالث من نوفمبر عام 2020 من خلال إستدعاء حشد حقيقي إلى
العاصمة الأميركية واشنطن.
أما الحل فيكمن فيما يسميه البعض
"الدين السياسي" المبني على أعمدة "محفورة من مقلع العقل الرصين"،
وقد لاحظ العلماء وجود توتر بين إيمان لينكولن العاطفي بالعقل والإيمان السياسي الذي
يجب أن تدعمه المشاعر التي تتجاوز العقل، ما أسماه لاحقاً "أوتار الذاكرة الصوفية"،
أي الذاكرة الناعمة.
العودة الحقيقية
هذا التوتر لا يمكن حله، ويمكن على الأقل
السيطرة عليه من خلال فهم أن مساحة النقاش المنطقي يجب أن تغلف بالإحترام المتبادل
